The Art of Watching
BOOK & NEWSPAPER DESIGN, ANIMATION

Project Details
"The Art of Watching" was a project I worked on during my time at SUNY New Paltz. The task was to combine essays and stories connecting wrestling, musical theater, and the circus. These texts, by Roland Barthes, Jacob Dorman, and the Kennedy Center, were brought together to form a book, a newspaper, and an animation.
For the design, I created a book layout that reflected the energy and themes of the performances. The newspaper was styled to capture the dynamic nature of live events, and the animation added movement to bring the stories to life.
This project gave me the opportunity to explore different design formats and styles, blending print and digital media to tell a cohesive story across multiple platforms.
